ARGUS RETURNS!!
Finally, after ten years of song writing and the longest game of musical chairs on record, Argus has reunited with drummer Adam Mack to start the process of recording a debut full length CD! This March Argus heads into the studio to lay down tracks so old even your grandma will swear she can't remember it... but these timeless classics will surely bring you out of your MySpace-induced funk and into new era of toe-tappin' tomfoolery.
A Decade of Laziness
Argus was formed in central Washington in 1998. Guitarist Chris and drummer Jason Kranz decided to explore a melodic and mellow approach to their music, and quickly began playing shows with bands like Pedro the Lion, Joy Electric, Champion Birdwatchers, Damien Jurado and more.
Argus soon became a revolving door of drummers, from Jason to Brock Johnson to Brandon Burke to Adam Mack and back to Brock again. Chris finally decided to focus on song writing and recording, so we except the return of Argus in some form very soon.
Need to categorize their sound? Don't feel bad, most people do. Argus has been called a mix between Damien Jurado, Herman's Hermits, Rooney, Presidents of the United States of America, Southern Culture on the Skids, Violent Femmes, and many more.
